Bryneglwys Vision is a 100% voluntary organisation established by residents to benefit fellow parishioners and visitors to the parish of Bryneglwys. With local knowledge and professional expertise, the organisation aims to obtain funding for, to influence, shape, support, facilitate and/or to help deliver citizenship and community development initiatives that meet the objectives of the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015.
Bryneglwys Vision is in the process of becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) registered with, and running under the oversight of, the Charity Commission for England and Wales (application #5119441). Its constitution is based on the Charity Commission's model constitution for a foundation CIO.
Bryneglwys Vision aims to be as transparent in its operations as is legally and commercially possible, and has adopted all of the Charity Commission's recommendations regarding 'best practice' for its constitution, management and administration. It strives to act in the best long-term interests of the community as a whole.
Charitable Objects (must conform with The Charities Act 2011)
To further or benefit the residents of the parish of Bryneglwys, and its visitors, without distinction of sex, sexual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents and the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to:
- improve social welfare and the conditions of life;
- advance citizenship and community development;
- improve or provide public services or recreational amenities;
- preserve, conserve, protect or enhance the environment.
